Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
The Border Security Force (BSF), stationed at Border Out Post Tarun of the 06th Battalion in the Jalpaiguri sector of North Bengal Frontier, successfully intercepted and apprehended two Bangladeshi citizens attempting to infiltrate into India.
The vigilant border personnel identified the infiltrators as Nitarranjan Mandal (35) and Jhamu Rani Mandal (29), as disclosed in a press release issued by the BSF on Sunday. The arrest was made in the district as the individuals were attempting to cross illegally from Bangladesh into India through an unfenced area.
Upon a thorough search of the detained Bangladeshi nationals, the BSF recovered four mobile phones and some undisclosed materials from their possession. Following detailed interrogation, the captured individuals have been handed over to the Kuchalibari police station for further legal action, marking a collaborative effort between the BSF and local law enforcement agencies.
